Lincoln Surgical Hospital was founded in 1994 by Nebraska's leading Ophthalmologists. What started out as only a two-operating room ambulatory surgery center for outpatient eye surgeries has now expanded to 45,000 square feet and has 8 operating rooms, 16 bed unit, 10 are private and six are semi private care beds and a new cafeteria. Lincoln Surgical Hospital is among only 100 surgical specialty hospitals in the United States and the only multi-specialty surgical hospital in Nebraska. The hospital has expanded to over 8,500 surgeries annually. Lincoln Surgical Hospital is one of the few 100% physician owned hospitals in the United States.
